RUQYA

Getting tested and treated for sihr (black magic), jinn possession and evil eye/envy is straightforward and confidential. Most affected patients are cured.

Ruqyah’ is the practice of treating illnesses through Qur’ānic āyāt, and invocations prescribed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It is a means of cure for evil eye, magic, jinn and physical ailments. As well as providing a means of cure, ruqyah is an excellent way for the believers to build their īmān and reaffirm their tawḥīd for Allah (subḥānahū wa taʿālā). This is because seeking treatment through the Glorious Qur’ān undoubtedly demonstrates complete belief in the Book of Allah (subḥānahū wa taʿālā).The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Make good use of the two cures: honey and the Qur’ān.” (Ibn Mājah)‘Ā’ishah (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhā) said: “When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was ill, Jibrīl (‘alayhis-salām) performed Ruqyah on him.” (Muslim)

Ruqya Session

Upon arrival, the Raqi will greet you and process the remainder of the transaction (if applicable). The Raqi will begin by asking you some questions.

The Raqi will then explain what he will do. He will either run a diagnosis on you or treat you if you have already been diagnosed. If you’re not sure about anything, ask him to explain. During treatment, the Raqi may do the following:

  • Ask you and your chaperone to recite (in our experience, the patient’s own recitation is highly effective)
  • In the event you cannot recite, or in addition to your recitation, he will recite upon you blow and spray recited water on you
  • Tap different parts of the body if required. In the case of female patients, their male Mahram will be used as intermediaries.
  • During treatment, patients may vomit and see visions among other reactions.

At the end of the session, the Raqi will provide you with a diagnosis

Additionally, he may recommend a post-session treatment plan and suggest a follow-up appointment if needed. Please note sessions may be paused for Salah breaks.

Your personal information

The call will be held on WhatsApp. Patients must use headphones throughout the session for maximum effect. We also advise having a vomit bag present.

All patients should inform a family member or friend and request them to oversee the patient during the session. We advise against children being present.
